The Archive Trials Have Opened

A new feature has officially been added to the Shadows of the Crucible website and app: Archive Trials.

These are optional five-question trials connected to selected Records, lore entries, and character archives throughout the site. After reading a piece, you may occasionally find a trial waiting near the top or bottom of the page. Each one is built around that specific entry, asking you to prove what you remember before the archive opens its reward.

This is not meant to feel like a school quiz. It is a way to step deeper into Astryon — to test your memory, revisit important details, and earn something meaningful for paying attention to the world as it unfolds.

The rewards will be exclusive, generous, and worth checking for. Completing Archive Trials may earn you rare Dominion’s Gambit cards, Celestium Dust, exclusive weapons, armor, relics, artwork, Codex unlocks, and other special rewards tied directly to the world of Shadows of the Crucible.

Trials will not all appear at once. They will be revealed sporadically over time across Records, lore pages, and character bios. That means it will always be worth returning to older pieces you have already read. A Record that held no trial yesterday may carry one later. A character archive you thought you knew may eventually open a reward of its own.

Some trials will be simple. Some may ask you to remember carefully. Some rewards may only appear for those who return when the archive stirs again.

So read closely. Revisit often. Watch the older pages.

The archive remembers what careless eyes forget.
