A New Soul in the Archives — Introducing Rhys

Today, I'd like to introduce another official character joining the growing world of Shadows of the Crucible: a twelve-year-old boy named Rhys, from the secluded Misty Village on the outskirts of Alyndor.

I've always believed that some of the most meaningful characters begin with the simplest of lives. Rhys has no noble bloodline, no celebrated title, and no grand reputation. He has a father who teaches him to hunt, a mother who fills his imagination with stories, and a younger sister who means more to him than he could ever properly explain.

He's curious, occasionally stubborn, fiercely loyal, and still young enough to believe that courage and a little determination can overcome almost anything.

There's something especially dear to me about writing Rhys. Beyond the ancient histories, terrible mysteries, and powerful figures of Astryon, I wanted readers to know an ordinary boy whose world, for now, is measured in woodland paths, family suppers, and the familiar warmth of home.

His official character biography is now available in the Archives. I hope you'll take a moment to get to know him, his family, and the little village that has shaped his life.

Every character deserves to be known for who they are, not simply for the part they may come to play in a much larger story.

Welcome to Shadows of the Crucible, Rhys.
