Soul Hunters Guardians of the Veil
Soul Hunters are the burdened guardians of the Silent Veil — dark-cloaked bearers of cold lanterns, sworn to walk where death has gone wrong. They bind what prayer cannot reach, carry the anguish of the damned, and preserve the living world by accepting stains no soul was ever meant to endure.

Archive Classification
Veilbound Order, Soul-Containment Hunters, Arawnic Death-Rite Operatives
Known Location
Primarily based within Umbral Keep beneath Alyndor, though Soul Hunters are dispatched throughout the Shattered Dominion wherever corrupted souls, failed passages, hauntings, or spirit-born abominations threaten the living.
Known Condition
Active, burdened, and critically strained. The Soul Hunters remain operational across the Shattered Dominion, but their work has grown more dangerous as corrupted spirits linger longer, lanterns fill faster, and the boundary between life and death weakens. Their order endures — but every hunt adds new torment to the lanterns, and every bearer walks closer to the edge of becoming what they were sworn to contain.
Associated Factions
The Soul Hunters are bound first and foremost to the Silent Veil, the hidden order that trains, commands, and preserves them beneath Alyndor, while the High Reapers of Arawn maintain the oldest lantern laws, death-rites, and binding doctrines that govern their work. Their existence is inseparable from Umbral Keep, the order’s buried refuge and soul-containment bastion, as well as from the Bound Dead carried within the Lanterns of Arawn — an imprisoned host of anguish, rage, memory, and unfinished death that fuels both their power and their curse. Together, these ties place the Soul Hunters within the severe Arawnic Veil-Rite tradition, where mercy is not always release, and protection often means bearing what no living soul should have to carry.
Associated Faith
Arawnic Veil-Rite, Doctrine of Bound Passage
